Question:

at what height does the hot and cold rough in plumbing for kitchens and bathroom vanitys go?

the work is being done in pa want to confirm to code

Answer:

Sorry in another state, but try calling the health department and ask to speak to the plumbing inspector or call a reputable plumber who you know.
Bathroom Sink Rough In Height
16' to 18' and the kitchen needs a clean out ( two tees stacked , one drain , one fip adapter and plug for clean out). Code says 6' off floor and no higher than necessary. You need to have room to attach a ptrap on the sinks before the drain .Good luck!
There is no code for this. Is based on ease of installation of trim. 18' off the floor for the drain and 23' off the floor for the hot and cold supplies worked well for the last 1,250 homes we plumbed :-) The new code considers a removable p-trap as a clean-out.
Some vanities are taller than others and we rough in at 21' for the drain for the 33' tall vanities and 18' for the shorter. The kitchen sink is 22' for the drain. For the supplies, I keep them even or a little above the drain to gain the most space underneath.
