try it and see if it holds then you will know i am sure my sink is hooked up like that i am sure a tub can be.
Depends on the materials involved, and the objective. You might want to look up how railroad car wheels are made.
Front, or steering, wheels on most vehicles are mounted with conical (or tapered) roller bearings capable of axial and radial loading. If this is not your question, explain what you mean by tapered wheels.
