I ride so I can answer this question. If you wear leather with studs you look like a wanna be. If you wear too much leather you look like you're into sm, If you wear that little black leather cap with the chain or any kind of choker you look like you belong in a gay bar. I have been riding for 10 years and I have never seen any of my brothers or sisters wear leather pants! We might wear the chaps on the outside of our jeans for the safety of a long road trip but leather pants NUH UH! Good luck pulling it off if you're brave enough to try.
It'll be really cold so pack warm jackets, jeans, sweaters, etc. It's very safe in NYC, I went there 2 years ago and walked around by myself in Times Square at night. Go where there's a crowd, those places will be the safest. The streets are numbered so it's very hard to get lost there, so that's another big plus! For shopping, HM is the best store! It's very affordable and they have really cute clothes. There's one on every corner! I highly recommend going to see a play or musical while you're there. There's a half price ticket booth in the middle of Times Square selling day-of-performance cheap tickets. So go early and line up! Christmas in NYC is gorgeous! Go check out the window displays at all the big department stores like Bloomingdales and Macy's. They're usually really special and nothing like you've seen before. There'll also be a huge Christmas tree at Rockefella Center that's all lit up. New York is incredible during Christmas so it's a great time to visit!! Have fun!
