Hi, i have a windows 7 machine wirelessly connected to my router (router's IP: 192.168.0.1) and my windows 7 machine is (192.168.0.100) I want to bridge this connection over a wire to a blu-ray player so i can update itWhat settings would i set into my bluray player in order to hook it up to the bridge? The bridge on the PC end looks like thisIP: 192.168.0.100Mask: 255.255.255.0Gateway: 192.168.0.1DNS 1: 192.168.0.1Thanks!

Answer:

First do you have a TV tuner on the computer? If you do those sometimes can pick up unwanted radio stationsSomebody might also be using a radio booster in the neighborhood which would create problems alsoDo you receive these stations anywhere else other than the computer? If not you might go through and check the settings on the system to make sure the audio settings aren't messed up.
On the Blueray player, use the following: IP 192.168.0.201 Mask 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.0.1 DNS 8.8.8.8 and/or 4.2.2.2
Jason is spot on, for some unbeknownst reason the local TV and Radio Stations are inducing a signal into your speaker wiresIf you have external speakers disconnect them, if you don't then install Ferrite Choke on your power cable, if you insist on using external speakers then use shielded speaker wire.
Wow it is a bad night for you
