I am really considering a B.A.R in the .270 WSM anybody had any dealings with the new configuration of the BAR in the WSM line of magnums??I am looking to get into a round that can take whitetail (and leave some meat)yet still handle elk or bear.
I say forget these new short magnums, buy one in .30-06 you won't be sorry.
If mostly deer hunting my first choice would be 30-06. If more power is desired 7mag, 300mag or 338mag. Those are all available and ammo is easier to find. I have one in 30-06 that has worked great for many years.
