Can A Repo Take My CAR from A Stacker Lift??

Answer:

yes, it happened to me, but I never found out why.
With the paperwork, the building manager has to give them the keys, otherwise they call the cops and tell them the manager stole it. However, from doing it in garages during power failures, the easier way is to jack up the lift with muffler jacks, release the safety, and let down. The key is a safety key not a lockout key.
They can go to the owner of the building and get a master key. You legally cannot keep the car from them. It's not their fault that you are behind on your payments and they are just doing their job. contact the bank and make arrangements to pay an additional $200 a month on top of your normal payments to get it caught up. If you actually talk to someone they are more willing to help you out. Get a 2nd job if you have to. I am working 4 jobs right now so we can have a place to live.
If a repo order is properly executed, and the sheriff's officers attend, they can have the owner/manager of the facility operate it. Remember, they wouldn't be ripping the car off, it is you who is ripping it off if you attempt to keep it from them after a repo order is legally issued. At that point it is no longer your car, and yes, if you drive it before the order is physically executed, it could be seized, leaving you with no ride home.
