Can a room filled smoke damage our Computer LCD monitor?

I bought my new LCD monitor for less than a year and my monitor is already having issue with the picture. So i wawss wondering if it is because I the ciggaretts smoke in my room is the cause of it? This is like the second monitor that this is happening to as i notice. Anyone know?

Answer:

Does the monitor have a CCFL lamp behind the screen, an inverter also there and cooling vents to let air in and out behind the monitor? Then yes, smoke particles can accumulate on circuitry and make it fail.
No the lcd monitor is not damaged by the smoke.buy the dell monitor for better perfomence
I wouldn't be entirely sure about what could be the cause of your picture quality problems but is the monitor faulty? Have it checked or get an experts opinion. Smoke could be marking the screen or even be getting behind the screen inside which could seriously damage it! Try to leave your screen somewhere out of smoke and don't expose it to cold or hot temperatures either! Hope it helps!
I actually have a common in view that's what i've got consistently used. it truly is only a count of determination. it truly is like asking which DVD format is greater advantageous huge show or finished show. each has its reward.
