The General Theory of Relativity tried to explain gravity and explained it in a unique way-that gravity is not a force, but that gravity is a curve in space (Einstein referred to it as space-time). The easiest way (not entirely accurate, but easy) to think of it is, place a ball in the middle of a sheet that is held taught and flat. The ball depresses the sheet down wherever it is sitting on the sheet. If you roll another ball towards the first ball, the second ball will go around the first ball, it is caught by its curving of space-time, which we call gravity. There are many references that will help explain this concept. You can probably also get brownie points by asking you teacher to explain it to you.

well, while its summer in Australia in December, its winter in NYC in December so pack plenty of warm clothing and a good winter coat. Shopping in December will be very crowded and chaotic, so watch out for pickpockets (who love this time of year) and scams. The tree at Rockefeller Center and the Lincoln Center will be up and there is ice skating at Wollman rink in Central Park (by the 59th street entrance) and in Rockefeller center. And the windows in the department stores, like Lord and Taylors and Macy, will have their Christmas decorations on display (always a big tourist attraction.)
