Question:

Can I build a Boat out of wood and fiber glass?

I am planning a winter project, we have several nice lakes here. Any ideals?

Answer:

IN FUTURE ALL SHIPS WILL BE BUILD WITH SPLASTIC BECAUSE THE SHIP WILL NOT SINK AND THEREFORE ALL MANKIND WILL BE SAVED. TITANIC THOUGHT US A BITTER LESSON. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
tons of boats are a combo of wood and fiberglass... my old 16' v bottom had very thin plywood hull with fiberglass reinforcement on both sides. actually ive seen people use other boats to use as a mold for a fiberglass hull...

Yes it can be done. Can you do it? IDK. My grandfather built several in the 50's and they came out as very good sturdy and heavy boats designed for the Columbia River bar. If you build one inside, allow for how you will get it out.
