I am a freelance writer and I want to be professional when conducting interviews. I do have business cards that I had done stating that I am a freelance writer, yet is that enough? Should I produce my own press pass for credential purposes? If so, how and where can I get one?
44+39+8=91 where are the other 9 percent? edit** Okay ive read the full link now and now i can say. The voters don't have a clue, use common sense, they want the tax cut but they want the government to stop borrowing. Huh you cna't get everything, if the government cuts spending it will adversely affect AD. To be honest it really does not matter what a majority of voters think in this situation, unless the whole population of america have a degree in economics they cant comprehend the vastness of the situation and definately are not qualified to find a solution. There is undoubtably a better way to do thing but as of now we don't know what it is and probably cant implement it. Noah i agree with what you say but you can't trust the banks too much. Here in england the banks have been bailed out but we are stuck in a liquidity trap. the BoE is starting to look at quantitve easing but the effects will take time to filter through to the economy and that could take any where from 6 months to 2 years!
In the old days, you could buy a press pass from various companies advertising in the back of the writer's magazines. Now, of course, you can buy a $15 laminator at OfficeMax and call yourself whatever you like. But that only gets you so far. Most press passes have authorization information on them, a contact someone can call to verify that you're really on an assignment. Many events also require you to pre-register to get their press credentials. I suggest you also consider having some contact cards printed up (VistaPrint does some nice work) ... these can be presented to those you meet, greet and interview to convey the image you desire. When I meet someone I hand them one and identify myself as writing an article for the local newspaper rather than being from the local newspaper. Good Luck.
