I have a 1975 Pontiac fire bird formula 400 and it has a 400 trans in it already but I want a Manuel tranny in it and a Muncie rock crusher sounds like a BA trans. so I was just wondering if I could. and also is a 75 Pontiac firebird formula 400 a desired car for people? thanks.
Yes, it will fit, as long as you have a BOP bell housing. (BOP=Buick,Olds,Pontiac) While a rock crusher is a good tranny, you can use a Borg Warner super T10 which is what came in the car from the factory and is an excellent transmission, and you can use the driveshaft you already have from the 400turbo with the Borg Warner.
I would say yes you could change the 75 firebird to a manual 4 speed. You will need the correct drive shaft. A 75 firebird formula 400 is desired by those who took a liking to this particular car
