Hi there the tooth on your palate is very common and may be straight forward. Your dentist will need to xray the tooth to see the position of the roots and length. He may then be able to get a grip of the tooth with normal forceps and extract this with force and pressure. If it is impacted and has long roots then a surgical extraction may be required, they may need to drill the tooth in half and remove it in 2 pieces, if they do it this was then you are left with some dissolving stitches after.
