the 'theory' of relativity is a loose term describing einstein's overarching point of view on the universe being a relative existence. the equation basically sums up energy and matters ability to fluxuate between one another. as described in his book relativity: general and specific theory, a practical application of the theory could be seen in the events surrounding the dropping of a penny from a train by a first person observer, and the difference in viewpoint between a third party observer and the first person on the train. if the third party observer is standing stationary relative to the passing train carrying the passenger dropping the penny, the view will be of the penny follwing a parabolic curve toward the earth as it is drawn in by the force of gravity, and simultaneously acted upon by its own momentum driving it forward. to the passenger dropping the penny, however, the penny appears to fall in a straight path to the ground, following a slight curve toward the rear of the train. both observers witness the same event, but their difference in position relative to the dropping penny cause a largely different observation

Plants use very little of the ultra-violet spectrum for anything. I think it is only used for stimulating flowering/fruiting in some plants. You need a full spectrum output flourescent light for your plants. A GE Plant/Aquarium light is best IMHO as I have seen comparisons of plant growth with all the other major brand-name plant lights and the growth that these lights allowed for was by far the greenest and healthiest. Also, make sure you know the light requirements of your plants. Try to keep the light 1-2 inches above your plants at all times or build a box (just an idea) and cover it in reflective material to help the plants get as much light as they can. Flourescent bulbs aren't as powerful (don't put out as many lumens per sq ft) as the sun, so you'll need to compensate by leaving the light on longer. Good luck.
