I just want to season it then put in a pan wrapped in aluminum foilHow long do you leave in the oven and it's well done.
One of my favorites: Oat Bran muffinsYou can buy pre-packaged mixes that are easy to makeAdd a few raisins to make them moist and yummyThen during the last 2 minutes of baking, drizzle some honey on topMmmm! Another way to get more fiber is to buy a jar of wheat germYou can sprinkle this on anything you want to add more fiber to your meals Just make sure to check labels when you are grocery shoppingWhen purchasing breads, make sure you buy whole grain wheat or multi-grain, rather than white breadSome yogurts even have fiber addedFresh fruit vegetables are one of the easiest ways to get more fiberMake sure you eat the peels (apple peal, sweet potato peel, etc).
Broccoli, whole grain breads and muffins, (must be whole grain, try the 7 or 12 grain) whole wheat noodles (taste no different, I swear) also if you go to wal-mart and pick up the little bags of wheat germ or something like that and just sprinkle a little on your foods when you cook, it gives you your daily needed fiber and you can't taste it, good luck Or just take fiber pills, easy and you know you are getting enough fiberMetamucel, Fiber X, stuff like that
Any type of bean has alot of fiberRoasted soy nuts also and they are good for snacking.Prunes and figs I think are the fruits that have the most fiberIf you really want alot of fiber try Fiber One cerealThat has 14 grams of fiber per servingIf you want something that has alot of fiber but is also tasty try Kelloggs Mini Wheats cerealIt comes in flavors like maple brown sugar, vanilla creme and strawberries and cream.
Lots of fruits and veggies are good, but if you don't want to eat 10 times a day to get your fiber I have found these to be good: Cereals like Kashi GoLean have up to 10g fiber, Weight Watchers Flakes'n Fiber has 9g for 1/2 cup and Raisin Bran depending on brand have 7 or 8g per servingLaTortilla Factory whole wheat low-carb/low -fat tortillas have 8g for original flavor for 1 small they have a flavored one that I believe has 15g for 1 smallAlso try Nature's Own bread, I use the sugar free one that has 2g per slice, but they also have one that I think is called Extra Fiber or something close to thatIf you like roasted salted soynuts, they have 5g fiber for 1/3 cup, they are great as a snackJust be sure not to eat more than suggested on the packages at any one time if you are not used to eating a lot of fiber in your dietBelieve me your tummy will thank you later! You can find all of these at any Super Wal-mart, that's where I get mineI am also trying to get more fiber in my dietGood luck to you!
