Can you put Moped Tires on a Street Motorcycle?
If you do not plan on going over around 75-80, no worries. Now the weight limit on the tires could be different. Check into that. And also the lifetime of the tire will be less since it is Obviously a smaller tire. The tire could wear and warp in certain spots, but I wouldn't trust the tire for anything more than a temporary.
The simple answer is No. The problem is not the speed rating, it the load rating. Your XS is considerably heavier then a moped and they don't list the weight rating for this tire. I would recommend buying an actual motorcycle tire.
Tires are tires. You're spot on with your logic, so long as it Fits the way it's supposed to, is of a speed rating that you're comfortable with (BTW, that's 93mph sustained) and are made for the wheel you want to put it on, then you'll have no issues. I've tried out scooter tires on my Ninja 250 a couple of times. It's just a tire.
