Question:

Car trouble after replacing exhaust system?

I just replaced the exhaust system in my car, no upgrades just the same type of system, and have been experiencing problems ever since whenever the car is running but not moving. It jerks forward in pulses and I heard and felt the AC compressor shut off. Any ideas or thoughts as to what the problem is?

Answer:

exhaust leak can throw off the Oxygen sensor readings and cause misfires. Double check the joints for leaks.
1.There will be an exhaust washer right where your exhausts pipes starts! make sure they are properly tightened. 2.Moreover another thing that can cause jerks is your car is not properly tunned. 3.Makee sure the proper fuel adjustments.
Sounds like the lower oxygen sensor might have been damaged by whoever removed and replaced it during exhaust repairs .
You have mirrors for a reason, use your side and rear view mirrors. And your driving forward, your less likely to need them behind you unless your driving in reverse, so use your mirrors for that. otherwise its more important to have the mirrors on the front so you don't crash into anything or anyone. You can hear the cars behind you especially the motorcycles, you don't need to watch out for them behind you. Plus the defrost works fine and fast so i do not see the need for windshield whippers in the back if you can use your defrost just fine. Raybay-- You have to think about when the automatic lights came out (they came out at different dates for certain dealers), all the models before that were not made with them because of the timing of the automatic lights. Also not all dealers use the same regulations for cars, so you also have to ask which dealers would have automatic lights. Plus each dealers invents their own automatic light, so those that were behind had to catch up on it.
Because you drive moving forward and not in reverse! If you get into your car and cant see out the back window then you need to hit your defrost button and wait about 3 minutes and then you will be able to see our your back window. Also, if it is raining, you have your side mirrors to help you see behind you and to the side. Also, some cars and SUV's do have back wipers.
