Question:

Cement bird bath has sprung a leak?

We've tried to fill it with some kind of putty-type compound. However, that didn't work. The bowl is a quot;crumblyquot; cement bowl. What's the best thing to use to fix this problem?

Answer:

try filling the holes with bathroom caulking.
GO TO HARDWARE STORE ASK 4/ A SEALIN, IT WILL FIX THE LEAK. IT WON'T LEAK AFTER THAT, I DON'T THINK #1 !!
go to the home inprovment center and get an epoxi made for concrete
You can either buy an epoxy filler or coat the problem areas with thinset cement with latex additives for flexibility. Hydraulic cement will work very well also but you have to work extremely quickly with it because it sets up right away. They sell the cement in small containers if you don't need too much. All of the products mentioned will be in or near the paint department at Home Depot or Lowe's.
