I wanted to try this myself this time, but I was curious if doing so will require chain adjustments keeping it straight. I‘m assuming at this point that it‘s just a matter of pulling the wheel, not changing anything just remounting, am I right?
Depends on what bike you have, but you'll probably still have to adjust the chain and make sure the wheel is straight. Not a big deal, though.

You will have to align the rear wheel but you should be doing this everytime you adjust the chain anyway. Easiest way is with a friend and a lazer pointer. If you change your own tire are you glueing your beads on? Some people ride without it but I wouldn't.
Don't waste your money on looks. Nobody will see it anyway
