how do you charge your psp with a REGULAR data cable? do you need to change any settings?
if u mean a usb cable, then no it doesnt work
go to settings -USB charge -ON then just plug the cable into the psp. But the PSP has to be on and you can't play games while it's charging. This is if you're plugging into the usb port on the top. But there are cables that you can buy that let you plug from USB on the comp to the DC connector on the bottom of the psp
