Question:

Cheapest Way to make a boxed pallet?

I have an unlimited supply of pallet bases. I need to transport household goods from one island to another and get a better rate if I palletize them. Plastic wrapping won't do the trick. What are some of the cheapest ways to turn the pallet base into a pallet box so I can stack my moving items.Thank you.

Answer:

1) Sum of the forces on the system in the vertical direction (up is positive) = (m1+m2)*a = F - (m1+m2)*g a = F/(m1+m2) - g a = 6600 N / 600 kg - 9.81 m/s^2 = 1.19 m/s^2 2) Sum of the forces on the tank in the vertical direction (up is positive) = m1*a = N - m1*g N = force from the pallet on the tank N = m1*(a + g) = 560 kg * 11 m/s^2 = 6160 N Alternatively... Sum of the forces on the pallet in the vertical direction (up is positive) = m2*a = F - m2*g - N N = F - m2*(a+g) = 6600 - 40 kg * 11 m/s^2 = 6160 N Here's how to break it down visually [[[ m1 ]]] ^_ N _^ v_ m1*g _v v_ N _v [[[ m2 ]]] ^_ F _^ v_ m2*g _v all the ^_ _^ represent upwards forces and the v_ _v represent downward forces When you look at the entire system, the up N cancels out the down N.
Try to keep this stuff in physics and homework help.
