I have a dynex memory card reader. Up until about a week ago it worked fine. I don't know much about computer but I know that when I used to plug it into the usb port something would pop up giving me the choice on what to do with the photos. Nothing pops up anymore and I'm just wondering if there is a way to go into my computer or the like and choose manually.

When you plug it in, a new drive should appear in My Computer, possibly an E:, or whatever the last letter you have is. But beware, a card reader no longer autoplaying (presenting you with a choice of what to do), can be a sign that a virus has infected the drive, in which case you dont want to double-click on that drive. But you can open it safely by pressing windows-key E, and expanding the drive on the left side (click on the drive's +). It's a good idea to make sure hidden files are displayed. If there is a hidden autoplay.ini on a USB drive, you need to delete it asap! If you dont get a new drive appearing, and you dont get the USB device insert sound that usually plays when you plug a device in, then for whatever reason the device isnt getting installed properly. If the same happens when you try a different USB port, it may be a software issue. Checking Device Manager will tell you this.
