Question:

How do I get songs from my computer to a USB Memory Card Reader to put on my phone?!?

Hi. I just bought a USB Memory Card Reader. I tried transferring or copying songs from our computer to the USB but it tells me I can't because: The disk is write protected, Remove the write protection or use another diskHow do I remove the write protection? Can I? Thank you in advance to anyone who at least tries to help :)

Answer:

hi first put the memory card in the mobile after a min take it out and then put it in thecomputer. open the folder and then there should be a folder called music/sounds. drag and drop your music there. then put the memory card back in your mobile.
What type of memory card is it? There is only one type that I know of that has a physical write protection scheme, and it has a sliding plastic piece on the back. Forget what it was called, Memory Stick Pro, I think. Chances are pretty good that your phone doesn't use that type of memory card, though. Its probably a MicroSD. In that case, having the wrong memory card reader for the type of MicroSD can cause windows to think the card is write protected. If you have an HC type MicroSD (High Capacity, or anything 4 Gigs or larger is usually HC with a MicroSD card), then you need an HC type memory card reader or you will be stuck not being able to write to it.
