Connect lcd monitor to comcast hd dvr?i was wondering if im gonna be able to get hd quality tv with this type of connection or if its even possible to connect the two. the monitor i have does not have s-video or hdmi connection, only vga or dmi connection. i just dont want to spend money on getting new tv, plus i want to reuse/ re-purpose the lcd monitor lying around the house not being utilized. also, if this is actually possible, what kinds of cable would i need to have to make it work.
Your monitor has DMI connection? Sorry I don't know DMI connection. Check it again. If there is VGA connection there could be DVI-D connection(not DMI). You did not mention the output of your hd dvr. However there are adapter for HDMI to DVI-D. These two connectors are compatible.
first restoration:, flow from the cable container to the dvd participant first, then from dvd participant to the television, now if your dvd participant doesnt have hdmi out that wont paintings. 2nd restoration: cabal container to the television, then the television could have aux cable audio out, only flow from that to the dvd participant.then loop the dvd participant outputs lower back to the television inputs to observe movies from it. even however in case you are trying this it wont be tru encompass, in trouble-free terms left and ideal channels although that's going to use all 5.a million audio device.
