Question:

Curvature of light explanation?

If I remember correctly the spacetime vacuum can bend Light. I think it was because it has no mass or something. Can someone explain? I know its in Einstein's theory I just wanna know how it bends light.

Answer:

light curves when it passes from one material to another material that is more or less dense. such as if light passes from the air into water. when it hits the water, the light slows down because the water is more dense and slows down. so the light that is outside the air is traveling faster than the light that is traveling in the water and you see a curve of the light.
