Question:

do cars have 2 axles or 4?

i‘m pretty sure 2. that‘s what i think.when you go over a bridge, they charge you by axle.but i know a lot of guys that work on cars, and they‘re telling me each wheel has it‘s own?? it‘s possible they‘re playing a joke on me though.i work at a dealership, and this is shameful of me to be asking. don‘t be too harsh.

Answer:

Front and rear axle2 They are talking about cv axles or half shafts (it takes 2 to make 1 complete axle)
They're being mean to you. Cars have 2 axles when it comes to tolls. j
cars generally have two axles, though there are the rare few that have three. this terminology is antiquated these days, but it comes from the early days of the automobile where the average car literally had two axles, in the rear they had the drive axle, and in the front they had an I beam axle.
Definitely more fun, you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly, it just takes a few races.
