i have a xbox 360 20gb and i want to buy a new 360 slim. i saw a data transfer cable at gamestop for $20 to transfer all my stuff to the new console. if i just recover my gamertag on the new slim 360 will it still transfer all my dlc and gamerscore or do i have to buy the transfer cable.
Nope you'll have the gamerscore and gamertag but the saved data (dlc) on the hard drive of the old Xbox will not also be tranfered. I think 20$ is a rip off for the cable so I'm going to use my friend's cable if you have a friend with one I would recommend using theirs.
