If you put in a turbocharger for a ‘05-present Ford Mustang GT? I‘m thinking about installing one but I heard if you don‘t have the right exhaust system you can damage your turbocharger and/or engine. If this is true, do you know of a good turbocharger and exhaust system to go with each other? Thanks.
This is true. It has to be a system capable of dealing with the extra flow. Your best bet is to talk to a mechanic or find a good forum to see if your exaust system is good enough. I don't kow the specifics of the requirements, sorry.
Yep. Lot's of cars that come into the shop have headers and aftermarket exhaust kits on an automatic.
True i imagine the engine is capable of taking the extra horsepower but the exhaust system might be to small and could damaged the catalytic converter but since you have a 05 gt i am sure it could take it
