Question:

What is the effect of iron on blood pressure?

Would iron decrease or increase blood pressure?

Answer:

I believe it would increase it. If not then it would not do anything.
Low or high iron has no effect on blood pressure. The cause of low iron may effect the blood pressure though. Lets say you have anemia because you have a GI bleed and you have lost alot of blood. You would have low iron in blood but also loss of blood volume, this would make your blood pressure lower, but not because of low iron.
