Question:

Do you take your time trimming the tree?

I had to ask this because I've been working on hanging ornaments on the Christmas tree for hours now, but you all are so fabulous! So take the question however you wish, be creative ;)

Answer:

If you want your horse to grow his hair out, wait as long as you can to put a blanket onThis will make him grow more hair because he won't have anything keeping him warmI don't put my horses blanket on till it only gets up to the mid to low 50's during the dayIt doesn't provided much, if any, warmth because its purpose is to help keep the underside of the blanket clean.
Nope, I just spray it with flocking or Crisco non-fat cooking sprayThen I throw on some tinsel and used aluminum foil and two bags of Orville Redenbacher's Butter Lovers strung together on used dental flossThe wife and I don't really like it too much, but the kids get a kick out of it.
If you want your horse to grow hair, don't blanket himHorses don't need blanketsThey were designed not to need themAs long as the horse has some shelter, he should be fineUnless they are clipped, the hair horses grow is sufficient to keep them warmIt is designed to trap a layer of warm insulating air between the hair and skinIf you put a blanket on a horse, the hair is depressed, and then the layer of air is pushed out, taking away their layer of warmthSo sometimes horses can actually be colder with blankets on.
