There are total removal and installation instructions for both the Ignition Lock Cylindr and the Ignition Switch. They sell both parts. The Ignition Switch is $ 49.99 and the Ignition Lock Cylinder ( thats the one with the keys) is a pricey $178.99 But you did say it was the Ignition Switch that was the problem and not the key switch so you can save $100.00 if you have a mechanical friend to install it for you. I don't know of any law that says you have to have one in your domestic property.But if you run a business employing people from the house you must have (where the premises are in use i.e bed and breakfast. Anyway common sense should prevail all home ought to have one. I'm sure the local fire service would more than be pleased to advise
