Question:

Does anyone else have a flat footed horse?

I have a appendix qh and appaloosa stud colt that will be 3 in may and they lady i got him from never did his feet the whole time she had him and she had for the first 2 yrs of his life i was wondering if there was anythin else i can do for his flat feet his front feet are so flat that his frogs are on the ground and when i ride him if he steps on a rock he jumps will his feet get better the more i trim them or will he always be flat footed i plan on barrel racin him when he is older and im worried it will mess him up since his feet are so flat. Plz dont get a attitude bout him being a stud i still havnt figured out if i want to breed him later down the road he has great bloodlines and he is very gentle stud he acts more like a gelding then my other boys

Answer:

I'm betting it would. I bet a june bug going 750 mph would go through a typical motorcycle helmet.
A fire or something in the building was hot or false alarm.
Yeah, a .22lr has a lot more energy behind it than your average pebble kicked up by a tire. It might stop in the helmet or face shield, but i wouldn't get my hopes up.
.22LR has a muzzle velocity of 1200fps 60sec in 1min 60min/hour means 1200x60x604320000 ft/hr 4320000ft/5280ft/mile818mph from 1200fps helmets crack in excess of 15mph, so I would not think that a helmet would stop a .22 round
