So I‘ve had my car for two years almost 3 never knew the damn car had an alarm.Today my alarm goes off and won‘t shut off completely disables the car from starting. I was told the alarm was snipped and told that it could‘ve happened a long time ago.So my question is what would all the sudden make the alarm go off?It isn‘t the battery so that isn‘t what it was. Also if anyone knows an estimate on how much it would cost to have it removed from the car?Thanks!
Things that can make an alarm go off ?? 1. The sensor. 2. The controller. 3. Wiring issues. 4. Switches. If its a factory alarm you cannot remove it because its part of the (BCM) and that can be around $95.00 to $500.00 dollars to repair. If its an aftermarket one then you can remove it for around $100.00 dollars.
