actualy cool the air? or does it just take air from a cooler part of the car?
It draws air that is not as close to the engine block.
it relocates where the air enters the tube that carries air to engine to scoop up air from a colder place such as out front away from the engine and near wind. to it does basically just take it from a cooler place.
It does not actually cool the air. It just acquires air from a cooler location under the hood.
