Question:

DOES keyless entry mean i have a car alarm?

DOES keyless entry mean i have a car alarm?

Answer:

Not necessarily. If it's aftermarket keyless entry (like on my Honda) there's a good chance that an alarm is part of the package, but there's no guarantee. If you actually have the car right now, and have the key fob, try pressing the lock button a bunch of times really fast, or pressing it and holding it. On my car, that sets off the alarm.
No. You do not have an alarm. Just a remote to lock and unlock your doors (open the trunk, hatch or sliding doors on some cars, vans or SUVs). The good news is, you can add an alarm that will work with your key-less entry and you still get to use the same remote! Most stereo/alarm shops can add an alarm for around 100 dollars. If you want remote start, you may need a different remote.
