Question:

Does this sound like a good plan for Christmas Eve?

Snuggled up in big thick pajamas with blankets melting marshmellows by the fire whilst watching classic Christmas films with family and hot chocolate?

Answer:

There is no benefit the retailer to having them sit for a long time in warehouses. And even if that did happen, temperature is not proven to have any long term effect on discs. Exposure to certain chemicals - yes that can. But temperature or humidity has no effect.
i think i have one but its under mii toothsumtymes i see a red dot and then lata that day it looks filled with sumthinis this da same or normal?
If you have a magnetic sensor on your door or window, just take another magnet and stick it on top of the sensor. It has to be a decent magnet, not those thin refrigerator type. This will keep the circuit closed (in a normally closed system or open in a normally open system) when you open the door/window. You can test it when the alarm is not armed by opening the door/window and looking at the panel to see if that zone is triggered or not. If you have motion sensors then you'll be SOL without really good thermal clothing. Move the magnetics around the window piece away, so to the wall , just keep them connected so the connection isnt broken once the pieces arent touching the window and the two pieces dont move apart when you open the window! open the window and voila! freedom Disable the alarm before leaving the house or go out of a window without a sensor on it.
