I went to the dealership and they stated that the door latch is broken internally and it needs to replace. So does that mean I need to replace the lock actuator??

Im sorry this happened! Some people can be such idiots on the roads both around horses and not around horses. Im not going to say a product to use as I come from New Zealand and they will most likely be a lot different from what you can get where you live. However if you go into your local vet clinic they will have products for sale that will help your horse. Make sure you read the label carefully before buying it though. It also will help to ask for a vets advice. Hope your horse heals up fast.
