Doesn't a lightning rod on top of church show a lack of faith?
If it still conducts better than air (like the wood in a tree), then it makes a soso lightning rod. If it conducts worse than air, then lightning will ignore it and go through the air.
If you can stay away from Active-x. thats where you'll get alot of VIRUSES.
Discharge it. Wearing a paper mask over mouth and nose, open it and hold over doubled plastic bags. Use a rubber hammer to tap the casing on sides and bottom until most of the powder has emptied. Use a bottle brush (dry) to loosen more of the powder so it can be tapped out. Mix 1/2 cup vinegar with 1 cup of water and pour into the container. Plug the top with one hand and holding the container horizontally, shake if vigorously in a rolling motion. Rinse with fresh water. Drain upside down for at least 24 hours.
