Hmmm the other guys want you to set up a camera and what record your bedroom all night. On one battery? With limited memory? Right! Let's slow down and think of other possibilities. First, I'm a believer in ghosts so I'm not going to give you the ghosts-aren't-real line and expect you to thank me for such a detailed and well-sourced answer. They're real, and I've seen them. I lived in a house with ghosts for years, and strangely enough my dogs didn't mind them. But I've heard that dogs cats can react to ghosts, so I'll believe that sometimes they do. Animals are much more attuned to that maybe-real sixth sense than we are, that much is for sure. Science can't explain why or how, but everyone knows dogs cats can sense things we can't. But not everything that's weird or unexplained is a ghost. Dogs have very acute hearing and extremely powerful noses, so maybe Patches is reacting to a raccoon he hears in the yard, or even something he smells 2 miles away. And dogs, much like people, can get into weird moods from time to time for no reason at all. It happens. You can't just assume 'ghost' every time, because you're forgetting all the thousand other possible things that could be going on within his massive hearing and smelling range. While I believe in ghosts, I have to think your odds are still 1 in a thousand that you have one in your room. There are just too many other possibilities that you can't control.
