Question:

Edible gold leaf vscraft gold leaf?

This may sound like a stupid question but.I just bought a pack of gold leaf from my local crafts store, I was wondering if I can use tiny pieces to decorate chocolates as wellI know it's not labeled quot;ediblequot; but can small pieces really do much harm if consumed?

Answer:

If you have apple sauce you can substitute it for butter.
buckeyes there kind of like reeses cups but they represent the state of ohio
yeah so long as you have eggs you can just make chocolate pancakes instead or sub cream for butter
The composition metallic leaf you buy at the crafts store as well as the real-gold/etc leaf you can buy that's much more expensive are all made from metalThe composition type is usually zinc, aluminum, copper, etcSome have been dyed as well Eating those won't kill anyone in small amounts, but don't think it's a great idea to eat it .and it wouldn't be ethical not to TELL people you're not using the edible type (best just to go ahead and buy the edible kind if you really want to use it) HTH, Diane BP.SSome people also refer to metallic craft and heat transfer foils as leaf, but both parts of those are actually made from plastic (one part dyed).
