i have used all types of fire extinguishers. as a trainee during my naval boot camp we learned to use all types. later in life i have used all types to fight accidental fires.
yes but i had to run because the whole house and the barn burned down. had to run to the highway. fire chief said the fire reached 2000 degrees farenhieit. melts aluminum ladders and pots. the vaporized in fact. nothing left. couldn't find the fire extinguisher later. must have blown up.
if your smoke detector is on batteries than unscrew the cap and take out the batteries, the alarm wont goes on since it detect smoke only.
I have used fire extinguishers on a number of occasions. House fires, Auto fires, Big rig fires, Chimney fires, Farm tractor fire (only one of them) Lawn mower fires, Garbage truck fire, the list goes on.
