As the temp drops so does the pressure in your tires. The amount is one (1) PSI for each 10 degree change in temp. So if you started out with 25 PSI when the temp was around 80 then by the time you got to -19 you'd be down to only 15 PSI left in that tire. Tire pressures should be checked at least once a month but, as temperatures drop you should do it more often. Always check the pressure prior to driving.
