i dont have a motor vehicle yet pretend alarms criminal locks and so on and so on are all deterents if the opportunist thief sees criminal locks alarm led's they are going to better than probably discover an much less complicated objective
Real car alarms, rarely work. Most people hearing a car alarm these days, figure that someone just forgot to hit the button or something. Plus, if it's fake, how would you ever know it worked? It's not like you can watch your car, have someone go to rob it, and see if they decide not to.
