Okay I bought a foreclosed home and it had an alarm system. My daughter has activated the alarm some how. How do I unarm it so I can come and go with out this dastardly alarm going off?!

It sounds to me like your gelding needs to mature a little bit more, mentally. For now, take your filly. Can you alternate every now and again? That might be an okay option. Good Luck with your horses!
You are safer showing your gelding. I have shown geldings and they always are winner and have better attitudes in the ring. Mares often do not. In the ring I doubt he will act studdish. He is there to work and he will know that.
