At what age did you put your toddler to a bed? How did it work? Any falling out of bed moments?
Our son was moved to his big boy bed at around 19 months. It wasn't a toddle bed, but a normal sized double. He had been monkeying out of his crib for a couple months and we were getting ready to move so we took the opportunity to donate his crib and have his new bed shipped to our new home. He transitioned really well. He was already sleeping through the night and he was never a restless sleeper so he never fell out of bed. It all went pretty smoothly.
I do not have children of my own but I have a nephew who has recently been transferred to a toddler bed, the types with some sort of small railing or raised edge are the best when the transition is new to the child so that if they roll around there is less of a chance of them falling. My nephew is recently 2 years old and he has been sleeping in a toddler bed for a few months now and seems to have adjusted fine.
