Question:

Garden hose: Flat &fire man& reel up hose vs. normal hose?

I was out shopping and realized I need a new hose. I hate the standard water hose because it always gets kinked up. So I saw this as seen on tv hose that's made from the same stuff as the fireman's hose.Any of youalls had a negative experience from that one?

Answer:

we have that here.he should have paid his bill, ours comes with the property taxes every year.it is good to support the local fire companies.fire companies aren't the responsibility of the government.
They wouldn't even have fire protection in that area if it wasn't for that fee. There are many areas like that, rural areas who pay a nearby city a fee for their fire department to supply response to the area. No pay, no service. Pretty easy concept to understand.
Not really. Although it wasn't very altruistic of the fire department, it wasn't like the homeowner didn't know. It clearly says you pay-you're protected. Just like any other insurance. Apparently, this particular fire department was not being paid by his taxes. He said he thought if he called them, they would come out, put the fire out, then present him with a bill. Quite frankly, that is not something you think you know about, you'd better know the answer to that. This guy thought he could skate while the rest of the surrounding community picked up the tab, then use the services only when he needed them. The chances of him ever needing the fire department were slim-so I think he just figured he'd blow them off. It was a risk he took and lost.
Could just be the battery going flat, but it's really a bad idea to have your smoke alarm in the kitchen. Every time you burn something on the stove in such a way that it causes smoke, the alarm is likely to go off. They can also react to steam. It's best to have alarms in every room EXCEPT the kitchen and the bathroom/toilet.
Not really. The fire service can only afford to cover the town, so charges a fee for those outside the town. I'm not overly keen on letting the house burn, though. They could have saved it, then presented a bill.
