My devil friend Ellen put plastic on my flat irons. They melted the plastic. Now she is putting wet tissues on it to get the plastic off... AGH! they smell really bad! How can I get it all off?
un-plug it first. let it cool. then take a cloth with water and a bit of soap and wipe it over the straightener. Then rinse the cloth so it just has water and wipe it over the straightener to get the soap off. Then get a dry towel and wipe it. Good as new. You've sure got some nice friends :] jk.
That's messed up! why in the wor... Never mind. ok You can either keep it hot and let it become nice and melted so you can easily get the plastic off, or The best solution would be to wait until it dries(unplugged and off of course) and gently scrape off the plastic, with a knife or razor, whichever you prefer. Wash it with a wet rag, if there is still plastic, repeat the process. =P
