it may have had an electrolysis effect , the paper on the s/steel, i would ring the refmanufacturer for advice first, then try the cream they use on ceramic glass stove tops
jut wash it with a solution of hot water n baking soda It will just wanish ., But giv the solution som tim to act.
If you mean fiberglass insulation, a good shower should get it all offIf it's something else I don't know.
