If car is shaky when putting on the brake to slow down may be rotors need to be replaced. they get warped and can shake real bad. Not near expensive as axles
It is very unsafe. The mechanic shouldn't have released the car if it is unsafe to drive. If something happens, you will be in trouble for having an unsafe vehicle on the road. The mechanic could even get in trouble for releasing the car to you in that condition.
yeah go ahead the fact that the axle is broken should have no bearing on that. i wonder how the car is gonna move with a broken axle in the first place
Take your car to autozone or any other mechanic shop that offers to check your engine light for free. They will tell you what is wrong and reset the code. They will sell you the part you need and you should be set.
Agree with the first person about bringing the car to Auto Zone, but we will not erase the code. It's against the law for us to do that and we can get fined. Since it's still an OBD I system, simply disconnect the battery for a few minutes, that will clear the computer.
