My central heater is not blowing hard or hot airitscooler kinda warm but that's itThe ducts that come directly off the heater are very hotto hit to touch and I feel the heat from the unit.i the house has a swamp cooler and I found out it also runs through the same air ducts as the heating unit so I've already sealed and wrapped the swamp cooler to prevent hot air from getting out I have also already put new weather stripping and sealed all doors and Windows I just found out that there's no insulation in the attic and all the air ducts are aluminum and they are not wrapped eitherthe sad part about all this is I'm renting and stuck till august and my kids are getting sick I've called my landlord and his way of fixing things is half and won't call or pay for a professional to come fix it So can someone help me get the house warm at a low budget costthe cheaper the better as long as it works.
I let my babies sleep with a blanket since day oneThey did just fineI just made sure to check on them every so often, granted I did wake up every two hours to nurseYou should start giving her a light blanket like a receiving blanket untill she gets used to itOnce you feel she's comfortable with the blanket you should just let her be but make sure to check on her every now and then just to be safe
When he was about 7 months oldOnce he was crawling and rolling over on his ownHe's two now and has had the same blanket since birth- a gift from my BFF and he cannot and will not sleep without it now! :-) At 14 months, she should a-ok.
Wow, your landlord sounds like a bumI'm pretty sure you could get out of the lease if he won't get it fixedThere's really not going to be any cheaper fix than getting those ducts wrapped or buried by blown in insulationAny metal duct work will loss/gain a huge amount of heat if they aren't insulatedThere's several things that cause airflow problems, dirty filters, wrong fan speed, collapsed duct, dampers closed, etc My opinion is that you may be better off to run space heaters, if the landlord won't take care of the problems.
My daughter started using a blanket at age 6 monthsBecause thats when it started turning cold, and she refused to sleep on anything that restricted herSo she would get chillyNow she is 22 months old and sleeps with like 4 she likes to be surroundedYou daughter is old enough nowShe is was past the age for SIDS riskHope I helped.
When your baby can roll over and adjust themselves to get comfortable, then you can let them have a blanket, stuffed toy, etcThe main thing about the prevention of SIDS is to keep the bedding to a minimum because very new babies can't move around much if their air supply is reduced or blocked.
