Question:

Heating propane in a trailer?

I'm looking to find a place to rent, would you recommend propane? Why or why not?

Answer:

Gas, for one thing, is incredibly expensive for large vehicles like that. So they start with the average fuel cost for the trip. Then do some fancy math with the wage and infrastructure cost of the firefighters. Something like, yearly wages for the squad plus how much it costs to keep the fire hall running plus the maintenance and purchase of firetrucks, fire proof suits, oxygen tanks and refills, etc., and divide that by the number of calls per year.
Yes, never buy or use any type of home fire/carbn detector if you have any doubt about it. If the packaging says it will not work right without batteries, put batteries in it and follow the instructions to the nail, and test it. If you are still concerned, go to your local hardware store (ex- Home Depot/Fred's/Lowe's/Ace) and ask for a person very knowledged in this area for help in picking the proper dtector for you and your size home, you might be surprised at the info he/she gives you and it's always best to know everything about this type of tool. Good Luck
